The March 28 statement, for example, simply asked the administration “for action that reflects the special relationship between the United States and Israel in order to advance the cause of a true peace in the region.” This contrasted with statements from other key groups such as the Anti-Defamation League and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee that openly criticized the administration’s approach to Israel.

Can Brazil Save the World from War with Iran?
Brazil has likened the current push for expanded sanctions against Iran to the run-up to the US invasion of Iraq in 2003. In particular, Brazil has expressed the fear that expanding sanctions now will undermine the prospects of a diplomatic solution and therefore set the stage for war later, just as the imposition and maintenance of U.S./U.N. sanctions against Iraq in the 1990s set the stage for the Bush Administration's invasion of Iraq in 2003. And well, they're right. Israel is once again leading the US into war.

The Future of Palestine: Righteous Jews vs. the New Afrikaners By Professor John J. Mearsheimer
the Palestinians are not going to get their own state anytime soon. They are instead going to end up living in an apartheid state dominated by Israeli Jews......Alan Dershowitz was spot on when he said, “My generation of Jews … became part of what is perhaps the most effective lobbying and fund-raising effort in the history of democracy.” That lobby, of course, makes it impossible for any president to play hardball with Israel, especially on the issue of settlements. ......We should not underestimate Israel’s willingness to employ such a horrific strategy if the opportunity presents itself. It is apparent from public opinion surveys and everyday discourse that many Israelis hold racist views of Palestinians and the Gaza massacre makes clear that they have few qualms about killing Palestinian civilians. .... the Internet is a game changer. It not only makes it easy for the opponents of apartheid to get the real story out to the world, but it also allows Americans to learn the story that the New York Times and the Washington Post have been hiding from them. ...What is truly remarkable about this situation is that the Israel lobby is effectively helping Israel commit national suicide. Israel, after all, is turning itself into an apartheid state, which, as Ehud Olmert has pointed out, is not sustainable in the modern era. Mearsheimer is a very wise man, heed his words.

The Brits too are about to be dragged into WWIII thanks to Israel.

Tribeca Offers Jewish Style and Substance
The weightier of the two films is “Budrus,” a documentary by Julia Bacha that examines one West Bank town’s reaction to Israel’s construction of the security barrier. The town, with a population of 1,500, was set to be divided and encircled by the barrier, losing 300 acres of land and 3,000 olive trees. These trees were not only critical for economic survival but also sacred to the town’s intergenerational history

A Funding Clash Forces Choice: Food or Identity?
Sharansky was in New York in late April to try to convince members of the agency’s governing body to sign on to a first draft of a plan to mold the agency into a promoter of Jewish identity all over the world, including Israel. It would be a dramatic break with its past function, but also would serve to renew the agency’s relevance at a time when there no longer seems to be mass immigration to Israel.

'Zionist myth' book on prize shortlist
Prof Sand's book disputes that there was a mass exodus of Jews from Palestine in Roman times and suggests that many are descended from converts.

The idea of a Jewish nation based on a common ethnic origin emerged among 19th century Jewish historians, he argues. It was used by Zionists to make the case for a Jewish homeland.
