A Stand For Justice

A Timetable For War by Philip Giraldi
Second, the Israeli government having sold the "existential threat" fiction does want a war, but its options are limited. It knows it can only do temporary damage to Iran and wants the United States to do the heavy lifting. That will require contriving a situation that will bring about US entry into the conflict, otherwise an Israeli attack will have only limited value, possibly slowing down Iran’s nuclear program but not stopping it while also guaranteeing that the Mullahs will make the political decision to develop a weapon A must read for all Americans.

Loose Lips on Iran Can Sink America
To punish Iran for its speculative interest in nuclear weapons, Harman called for sanctions to “cripple Iran’s ability to import refined petroleum products.” (As a Harvard-educated lawyer, she should be aware that, under international law, such a blockade would be an act of war. It also would inflict widespread hardship on the Iranian people.) But Israel’s right-wing Likud government and America's neocons have identified Iran as the new enemy.....What concerns me greatly, however, is that the American people are being played again by those both in government and the media who wish to zap Iran. Like Giraldi, McGovern was also in the CIA. Heed their warnings.

A Massacre of Arabs Masked by a State of National Amnesia
Among the documents believed to be in the state's possession is a damning report written by Meir Pa'il, a Jewish officer who condemned his compatriots for bloodthirsty and shameful conduct on that day. Equally incriminating are the many photographs that survive. "The photos clearly show there was a massacre," says Daniel McGowan, a US retired professor who works with Deir Yassin Remembered. "Those photos show [villagers] lined up against a quarry wall and shot."

Wiesel’s White House Lunch Defuses Tensions
Officials at all levels of the Obama administration have participated in the concerted effort to allay concerns within the Jewish community. Administration officials have made phone calls, written letters, and showed up at Jewish and pro-Israel events in recent weeks..... Speaking at his group’s annual conference in Washington, the Anti-Defamation League’s national director, Abraham Foxman — who has been outspoken in his criticism of the Obama administration’s recent approach toward Israel — said that there had been a “re-calibration of tone” in relations between the two nations. And that would be because of the immense power of the Israeli lobby.

Israel Showcases Its Brain Power on a Receptive World Stage
The State of Israel has been mostly a casual participant in previous world expos. It didn’t even show up for the 1964 World’s Fair, in New York. When it did appear, in Brussels 1958; Montreal 1967; Seville 1992; Lisbon 1998, and Hanover 2000 (anyone even remember these?), Israel merely decorated ready-made exhibition spaces.
Yet, for the People’s Republic of China’s big coming-out party — the Expo opened on April 30 and will run until October 31 — the Jewish state pulled out all the stops.
Three years ago, the Israeli government decided that appearing at this expo was a priority, and so it assigned the Foreign Ministry to come up with a budget and design. The ministry earmarked an unprecedented 40 million shekels ($11 million) — half for the building, half for operations — and called a competition that attracted 23 designs.
Israel is ingratiating itself to the new and upcoming superpower - China, now that America (its main beneficiary and abettor at the UN) is on the decline.
